On Web Services Aggregation
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Web services framework is enabling applications from different providers to be offered as services that can be used and composed in a loosely-coupled manner. Subsequently, the aggregation of services to form composite applications and maximize reuse is key. While choreography has received the most attention, services often need to be aggregated in a much less constrained manner. As a number of different mechanisms emerge to create these aggregations, their relation to each other and to prior work is useful when deciding how to create an aggregation, as well as in extending the models themselves and proposing new ones. In this paper, we discuss Web services aggregation by presenting a first-step classification based on the approaches taken by the different proposed aggregation techniques. Finally, a number of models are presented that are created from combinations of the above. Subject Classifications : Business process modeling, composition, aggregation, Web Services.

Process Aggregation Using Web Services
This paper examines the opportunities and challenges related to data and process integration architectures in the context of Web Services. A primary goal of most enterprises in today’s economic environment is to improve productivity by streamlining and aggregating business processes. This paper illustrates how integration architectures based on Web Services offer new opportunities to improve pr...
متن کاملData Integration using Web Services
In this paper we examine the opportunities for data integration in the context of the emerging Web Services systems development paradigm. The paper introduces the programming standards associated with Web Services and provides an example of how Web Services can be used to unlock heterogeneous business systems to extract and integrate business data. We provide an introduction to the problems and...
متن کاملTowards Ontology-based QoS Aggregation for Composite Web Services
Determining the QoS (quality of service) of composite Web services is of crucial importance for both service providers and consumers. However, service descriptions of constituent services are often heterogeneous which makes the aggregation of multiple single-service QoS difficult. In this paper, we address the heterogeneity problem from the perspective of knowledge engineering. We propose a QoS...
متن کاملOntology-Based QoS Aggregation for Composite Web Services
Determining the QoS (quality of service) of composite Web services is of high importance for both service providers and service consumers. Heterogeneity of service descriptions, however, often hinders the aggregation of QoS parameters. We propose ontology-based QoS aggregation that integrates the semantics of QoS parameters and their aggregation into the overall aggregation process. The contrib...
متن کاملOGC Web Processing Service Interface for Web Service Orchestration Aggregating Geo-processing Services in a Bomb Threat Scenario
The aggregation of web services in order to achieve a common goal is a basic concept in Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). This paper demonstrates OGC Web Services (OWS) aggregation based on a simulated bomb threat scenario which is a possible disaster management example. Web services are aggregated based on the OGC Web Processing Service (WPS) interface. Here the concept of a “Composite-WPS...
